Feeding time!!! We get asked feeding questions more than any other questions. Let me say….THERE IS NO ONE SPECIAL FOOD! There isn’t. We feed our pack kibble and raw. We stay clear of chicken, only because a few of the dogs are allergic to chicken. So its Beef… or Fish…. or Lamb for the pack. As for the raw, we have a awesome local raw dog food company. The raw has livers/ hearts/ Bone/ Tripe all mixed in it. Beef food toppers are added regularly, just for extra taste for the pack!
Pups eat multiple times a day….
The grown dogs eat once in the afternoon, and they DO know when its feeding time. Trust me lol…
Day of dog shows, we. do not feed the showing dogs. As they listen better on a empty stomach. But they are given treats throughout the show day. And of course plenty of fresh water.
One thing different about our pack, they ALL EAT TOGETHER SIDE BY SIDE. Food aggression is NOT welcomed here, and we train each dog to know. The food is OURS! We give it to them, after we eat. They move away from their bowl… the bowl is picked up. And that dog is done eating. In other words, they all eat on OUR terms…. not theirs.
